Monument valley

A long drive from Sedona, we arrived in the late afternoon at The View at Monument Valley. While not much by way of food, 'The View' was situated incredibly well, overlooking one of the iconic western landscapes of the United States. We spent less than 24 hours here, taking in the transition from reds to purples to deep blues in the evening, and back again in the morning. There is a 17 mile self-directed drive you can do in the valley and it's a wonderful way to get up close to the mesas.
